Here's just a small sampling of the public tennis courts we've helped repair over the last six years.
Mountain View Sports and Racquet Club
The Tennis Council was proud and pleased to have partnered again to fund the resurfacing of all seven courts at Mountain View Sports and Racquet Club (MVSRC) in 2024, which included a very generous funding grant provided by the USTA. In 2021, the Tennis Council provided significant funding for an LED lighting upgrade project on three courts. MVSRC provides mentoring and academic support to under-resourced community youth in Southeast San Diego via the USTA-NJTL program funding resources.

LINDA VISTA RECREATION CENTER, BEFORE
LINDA VISTA RECREATION CENTER, AFTER
The LVRC tennis courts have been a priority site for the Tennis Council due to a large population of youth and seniors in this community that actively use these centrally located courts which are heavily used recreationally and with youth and adult tennis programming being provided by tennis professional Alex Nguyen. We partnered with the San Diego Parks Foundation on the 2024 resurfacing project, and 10 years earlier partnered with the County of San Diego to resurface these courts.
San Diego Mesa College
San Diego Mesa College (SDMC) chose to have their eight courts repaired and resurfaced in two toned dark and light blue colors. One of the eight tennis courts has been lined for USTA “10 and under tennis.”
